The finished version of this pan shot for these storyboards. I spent way more time on this then I should have, but it was really fun to draw.
I’m thinking of coloring this when the boards are done.

Hot damn i am super happy with how this panel came out for this storyboard.
Archie and Maddie are a married couple that own the old lodge that the “Forge”, the rebel force, is based out of. Archie was once in the military as an engineer, but left after a freak accident that took his hand and damaged his eye, amongst other damage. He and his wife both love building planes and interesting new mechanic marvels- she built his prosthetic hand and eyepiece.
These two got a huge redesign- they barely look like their old counterparts. Research for this one was pretty fun, since I was looking up prosthetic hands.
This is a comparison of the old designs/new designs, plus just how much my art has changed in 3 years.

I’m working on another pair drawing of two more characters, which is taking me a bit.
Lee and Twoshoes. These two are another pilot/mechanic duo that lead a rebel force based in the “Forge”. They become the main characters of the story about halfway through once Amelia and Nathan are gone.
The amount of reference I was digging through just for the plane alone was kinda crazy. I had to figure out proportions of people next to it, try (and fail) to find reference of someone pulling the prop (part of starting the engine), perspective, etc. I probably should have just gone downstairs and raided my dad’s books for references, but google worked well enough.
Mmkay, these are the main two characters. One you’ve already seen, the other just now getting his redesign. This is a paired picture, just to get some idea of the character interaction out.
I think I’m going to finish off the main cast redesigns, along with some rough layout stuff to use as portfolio fodder.
